Onam 2023

Image
Onam and the Ties of Friendship Last Onam in college was not just a festival; it was a testament to the bonds we'd forged over years. The vibrant pookalams and lively dances were mere backdrops to the laughter and stories shared among friends. The Onasadya, with its myriad flavors, mirrored the diverse personalities and memories we'd gathered. As we sat on the college grounds, relishing the feast and teasing one another, it was evident: Onam wasn’t just a celebration of harvest, but of the friendships that had grown and thrived. Even as college ends, these Onam memories will remain, reminding us of the ties that bind.

Last Day of Internship at St. Mary's HSS: A Chapter of Growth and Realizations

Image
As the sun set on my last day at St. Mary's HSS, I couldn't help but feel a cocktail of emotions - excitement for the future, nostalgia for the days gone by, and a deep gratitude for all that I've learned and the people I've met. New Experiences: Every day was a new adventure. Whether it was a surprise challenge, an unexpected lesson, or a chance to dive into an unfamiliar project, the experience constantly pushed me out of my comfort zone. From understanding the nuances of the institution's culture to grasping new technical skills, St. Mary's HSS was a playground for growth. Duties: My time at St. Mary's wasn’t just about learning, but also about contributing. The responsibilities bestowed upon me were both an honour and a testament to the trust my mentors placed in me. Each task, big or small, was a lesson in accountability, diligence, and teamwork. Unlearning: Perhaps one of the most profound aspects of my internship wa

Duties

Today reminded me of a time when things were simpler, a time when we relied more on our hands and less on machines. It's intriguing how the absence of something we take for granted, like electricity, can make us appreciate the smaller things in life. Though the day was filled with duties, it was also filled with unexpected joys. Perhaps, every once in a while, we should switch off, even if the power doesn't force us to.

Second Last week

The past week has been nothing short of a whirlwind, punctuated by duties, milestones, and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. The marks of the achievement test has given to the students, most of the students has scored good marks and promised me to secure good exam in the onam examination. The week also marked the final data collection for the project. This was a significant milestone, as anyone who has ever handled a project would understand. Data collection, often tedious and meticulous, is the backbone of any research or project. Having crossed that hurdle, I feel a mix of relief and anticipation for what's next.

Importance of Menstrual Hygiene

Image
The school took a commendable step by initiating a menstrual hygiene program exclusively for girl students. It was an enlightening experience, providing a firsthand glimpse into the diverse reactions and the varying levels of awareness among students. This program not only aimed to educate but also sought to break the chains of taboo surrounding menstruation. Later, I decided to further immerse myself by observing the classes conducted for my peers.

Team work

Balancing duties as teacher trainees is all about effective teamwork. We've come to realize that the vast array of responsibilities in education can be managed more efficiently when divided among our team. By assigning tasks according to each member's strengths, whether it's crafting engaging lesson plans or building strong student relationships, we not only streamline our workflow but also encourage individual growth. This collaborative approach not only eases the burden of our duties but also fosters a strong sense of unity among us, transforming us from mere colleagues into a dedicated team with a shared goal of providing the best possible education for our students.

The Magic of Locomotive Rhythm and the Beauty of Travel

Image
It was a day unlike any other in our literature class. Ancy ma'am walked in for general observation. Today was the day we were diving deep into the realms of locomotive rhythm, and the poem 'From a Railway Carriage'. As the verses unfolded, one could almost hear the chug-chug of the train, feel the rush of the wind against one's face, and visualize the rapidly changing landscapes. The students sat there, eyes wide and hearts captivated. It was evident - they weren't just learning about the poem; they were experiencing it. But what made this session even more memorable was an unexpected twist. Ancy ma'am played the song from the iconic Bollywood movie, 'Dil Se'. The rhythmic beat, reminiscent of a train's motion, served as a perfect illustration of the locomotive rhythm. The fusion of poetry and cinema not only made the lesson more relatable but also showcased the vast influence of this rhythm in various art forms. What followed was an ava
