Day 2

Today we had an insightful class about psychology by Jiby Ma'am. She asked us to keep a separate notebook to collect facts and paper cuttings related to psychology. Later we had a session by M Ed Trainees from Thycaud College and we did a group activity and it helped me to bond with my classmates.

It was a day unlike any other in our literature class. Ancy ma'am walked in for general observation. Today was the day we were diving deep into the realms of locomotive rhythm, and the poem 'From a Railway Carriage'. As the verses unfolded, one could almost hear the chug-chug of the train, feel the rush of the wind against one's face, and visualize the rapidly changing landscapes. The students sat there, eyes wide and hearts captivated. It was evident - they weren't just learning about the poem; they were experiencing it. But what made this session even more memorable was an unexpected twist. Ancy ma'am played the song from the iconic Bollywood movie, 'Dil Se'. The rhythmic beat, reminiscent of a train's motion, served as a perfect illustration of the locomotive rhythm. Today reminded me of a time when things were simpler, a time when we relied more on our hands and less on machines. It's intriguing how the absence of something we take for granted, like electricity, can make us appreciate the smaller things in life. Though the day was filled with duties, it was also filled with unexpected joys. Perhaps, every once in a while, we should switch off, even if the power doesn't force us to.
